Architectural Excellence : Local codes specify this building to be a permanent structure and consistent with existing structures. Brick was applied from the base of the building to the top of windows and doors. The sloped roof allows water to flow from front to back. The parapet with cornice is attached to a reinforced front, which was needed to support the large illuminated sign. This addition made the building front 20 ft. and the signage visible from the highway. Acoustic ceiling and copper supply lines to the faucets are some custom features of this building. One office has a pass thru bullet resistant window and keypad door for safety. All interior and exterior windows are red framed to match the red Formica cabinets. There are two 48x60 windows in the manager offices. There are six 36x72 windows across the building front, and 72x84 double glass front doors with 24x84 side glass, all tinted safety glass. The long windows give a glass front look. All windows and doors have red awnings and lights.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The pit-set of this building eliminates the need for decks and ramps. The walls, ceiling, and floor are insulated properly. The building exterior is hardi-panel and brick for a low maintenance product.

Technical Innovation : Because the pit-set of this building reduced the height of the building, a parapet wall was placed on the front of it. This provided a more visible presence while hiding the roof line. The single slope roof design, from front to rear allows water to flow to the back of the site. The transfer of water from the building is performed by a scupper/roof drain and routed away from the building towards the retaining pond. All custom items such as cabinets, red framed interior/exterior windows, keypad-controlled doors, and bullet resistant glass was supplied to accommodate the customer’s needs. All conduits extend to the ceiling to allow for routing of wire to and from the designated IT closet.
