Architectural Excellence : This dual level lab testing complex accommodates a conference room, 2 bathrooms, a main waiting area, and 3 offices. It also has a testing area and a gradation room as well as an oven room with industrial fans. Underneath both the ovens and the fans, durock underlayment was used to ensure extra strength floors. Sound resistance solid core doors were used on all office and lab entrances to contain noise. This noise reduction would help create a pleasant work environment for the rest of the complex. The building itself is an L-shaped two story unit and is uniquely situated as the back of the unit is braced over the Flushing Bay. The bottom of the complex is built with galvanized bottom board in order to prevent rodents.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The building’s water and sewer piping extends between the bottom floor and the upper floor to supply the sanitary needs of the workers on the top floors. By Nadler installing the connecting pipes between floors, the building’s owners only need to feed in water below the trailer. This single connection water system saved our customer both time and money by avoiding the potential costs with creating a feed in pipe for the second floor and reducing on site work.
