Architectural Excellence : Electrifying! That is how the ecstatic CEO of Electro Savings Credit Union described the visually appealing, well-lit, warm look of their new first branch. The interior space planning provided a wealth of services available for Credit Union Members to help manage their financial lives. Spacious offices are outfitted with efficient work stations. Everyone is welcomed by a friendly Greeter. Transactional services are fast and efficient inside the building or through four easily accessible drive-up lanes plus an ATM.
The building design and materials deployed were carefully selected by the NewGround Architect with the Wildwood Planning Board’s approval. Blending in with existing retail businesses adjacent to the parcel while co-existing with the residential community behind the site was achieved by careful planning, judicious contouring of the site and the planting of numerous trees, natural landscaping, and use of earth tone colors for the exterior building materials.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The cost effectiveness of factory-built construction was of high importance to the Credit Union due to the high union labor costs in the greater St. Louis area. With the large percentage of the building structure being built efficiently and quickly in a factory setting the component building offset some of the high local labor rates. The speed of completion of the project was only achieved because of preparing site work concurrently while the structures were being built offsite. Thereby, the Credit Union saved even more money with lesser expenditures for project management.
Energy efficiency was a major concern for Electro as well. Fully insulated walls, roof, and floor systems coupled with the high energy efficiency gas furnaces and high SEER rated condensers in a multiple zone configuration will save the Credit Union thousands of dollars over the operating life of the systems and provide employees with a comfortably zoned, climate controlled work environment.
