Award Winner : Accelerated Construction Technologies

Architectural Excellence : Teamed with renowned architectural firm, Leo A. Daly on more than 50 Wells Fargo banks. This contemporary bank & financial center is reflective of the industrial center and city section where it is located. The sloping standing seam metal roof delineates the entrance & creates volume inside allowing clerestory windows & natural light. The roof extends over the sidewalk supported by industrial V shaped metal posts creating much needed shade. Posts are angled to mirror the angle of the roof making the roof appear to float.
Bright red-cantilevered metal shade canopies contrast against the neutral wall & frame the linear tinted aluminum frame windows. Red geometric decorative accent lights & randomly placed squares add visual interest & an unexpected splash of color. The building is banded in colors that darken from top to bottom & change as they reflect the desert sun throughout the day.
In the banking area, conference room, & office, there is elegant, warm wood & ceramic tiled floors.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Customers equal bank accounts, which can equal monthly revenues of $1,000,000. Revenues of that magnitude make the choice of rapid modular construction easy. Being the first to market means Wells Fargo captures market share in new markets.

Arizona’s extreme summers require energy efficiency. All our facilities are steel with a 6” wall stud instead of a 4” stud gaining R-value. The EFIS exterior uses 1” insulation board for a net R-value of 25 for the wall system. Roof systems employ R30+ batt insulation & rigid foam insulation for increased R-value & sound control. Our electrical designs are 3-phase for minimal energy use. This includes energy efficient HVAC units that use scroll compressors & programmable thermostats. The energy-efficiency package includes 1” annealed, SOLEX dual glazing, tinted windows. Close tolerances minimize air infiltration into buildings. Acted as general contractor for all infrastructure & site improvements, including utility, permit & developer coordination

Technical Innovation : Identical to site built construction, this permanent high public use banking facility features slab-on-grade foundation with EIFS, steel accents, and standing seam metal roof. The steel construction provides added strength and durability for many years of commercial high public use. All special systems, including industry-specific equipment such as satellite connections, night depositories, and drive-thru kiosks are coordinated with the client and integrated into the building’s design. Owner supplied vault is installed on a reinforced concrete slab. This requires a crane carefully lower the module over and around the vault. It also requires the module be built with the highest level of precision, as a seamless and perfect fit is absolutely necessary.
