Architectural Excellence : Universidad O’Higgins is one of the most renowned university in the south of Chile. Because of this status, the university got crowded with students before the beginning of the scholar year without the necessary space to receive all of them. The fast implementation of standard classrooms was the only alternative they thought of. The 5,468 sq ft building separated in 6 classrooms complies all the standards of the Chilean construction norm for education facilities.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : For our client, the opportunity to have ready to use classroom in a record time (45 days) and use the summer holidays (JAN-FEB) to install the 6 classrooms was unthinkable with another solution.
They needed to have the classrooms ready in March, otherwise they would have had to refuse the entry of the students and cancel their enrollment.

Technical Innovation : The innovation of this project was the mixture of standard modular building with steel structures for the open hallways and the classrooms. This mixture allowed our client and to the students to have a nice space for interaction, study and freedom. The classrooms with the steel structure were such a success, that at first, they thought of this solution as temporal, but the students after having classes in the new building, they preferred the modular solution instead of the traditional, because of the insulation, space and standard.
