Architectural Excellence : The scope of work presented to Resun called for two 10,000 square foot buildings to be used by the US Postal Service for two distinct purposes. One was to serve as a retail center and the other to serve as a carrier site. Coordination of this multi-layered design/build project wasn't easy, but Resun stepped up to the plate and as the modular buidling experts, Project Managed every step of the process from concept to completion, resulting in a smoothly executed project done on time and within budget.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The Postal Service needed a cost effective solution that would allow for the area that they serve, Winter Park, Florida, to continue their neighborhood development projects with as little disruption to their mail service as possible. Modular was not only a cost effective solution, it allowed the Postal Service to be up and running in half the time with minimal service disruptions. And because they partnered with Resun, industry experts with the capabilities to manage a total turn key project such as this one, they were able to leave Resun to Project Manage the entire effort so they could focus on the rest of the development project.

Technical Innovation : Building One, the retail center of the Post Office, houses the stamp machines and the customer service counters are there as well. Ease of accessibility, complimented by a handicapped ramp, were key elements of the design. Building Two, known as the Carrier Site, is where the mail trucks bring in and take out the mail. The mail is sorted there and distributed to the route drivers for delivery. Reinforced, rubber floors were required in Building Two to handle the massive sorting equipment and make the environment as safe as possible for the postal workers.
