Architectural Excellence : The repeatable design used to build the Toiyabe Indian Dialysis Clinic was developed by an experienced team of nephrologists, clinical managers, nurses, patient care technicians, architects and engineers. The modular facility is optimized for efficient workflow and superior patient care based on years of experience. The end result is a dialysis center with 12 state-of-the-art stations to serve the community. The 4,292 square-foot facility features a comfortable waiting room, washing station and treatment chairs, each with dedicated 22-inch LCD TVs. The floor plan allows the staff to see every patient from almost anywhere on the treatment floor. The centrally-located clinic manager’s office has large view windows that also contribute to the open atmosphere.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Toiyabe Indian Health Project in Bishop, CA needed to meet the increasing dialysis demands of the region with a new, higher-capacity facility on a limited budget. MedBuild, the dedicated healthcare division of ModSpace, constructed the Toiyabe Indian Dialysis Clinic based on its proprietary repeatable design. By using this standardized modular approach ModSpace was able to virtually eliminate the expensive design fees associated with traditional construction. This allowed Toiyabe Indian Health Project to fit a large, high-quality facility into a very tight budget.

Technical Innovation : The Toiyabe Indian Dialysis Clinic was designed to receive the most advanced water systems, a critical element of quality patient care. Additionally, repair specialists were consulted to ensure easy access to essential equipment resulting in limited disruption to patient care and clinic operations. A natural gas mechanical system was installed instead of electric heat to dramatically reduce monthly operating cost.
