Architectural Excellence : Located on donated land next to the original school building and seminary, the 43 modular building for the Hannan High School complex was designed to provide additional classroom and administrative office space. Safety and security was a key factor in the design phase of the project. The 35,856 square feet of building was configured so that teachers would have an “in-line sight” of doorways and interior class spaces from any class or open space. Elevated walkways were put in place to provide protection for the children from various weather conditions. These elevated walkways keep the children from having to go outside when moving from location to location. The seven buildings house classrooms, multi-stall bathrooms, computer labs, and administrative office space.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The ability to locate the new modular buildings adjacent to the original school enables the new complex to utilize the existing infrastructure including water, power, sewer and datacom.
