Architectural Excellence : Tadano Cranes’ exhibit in the Con Expo Show in Las Vegas had to showcase their product line effectively with very limited space. The design of Pac-Van’s standard 24x44 Sales Office suited their needs with few exceptions. The compact layout of the building allowed for three private conference spaces and a large display area. Each conference room had an interior window adorned with the Tadano logo in varied frosted tones. The open area included a custom serving bar and a continuous display cabinet along one wall. Interior walls were taped, textured and painted and ceilings were 2x2 tegular Tiles. Flooring in the display area had custom 18” ceramic tile and the conference rooms had custom carpet. A gable type roof with columns accentuated the separated french entry doors and enhanced the front of the building allowing separated entry and exit capability. A large L-Shaped Awning allowed for an open air lounge area for convention attendees to do business.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Cost of convention space varies greatly. By using a standard Modular Building, Tadano was able to allay the high cost of building a custom building to fit their booth space needs. The building was leased locally and could be set up in one day. The accompanying ramp and steps were also leased, relieving the exhibitor of the cost of purchase. The custom L-Shaped Canopy, while purchased, could be saved and used for the next convention. The booth took a total of three days to install and two days to dismantle. In customizing the building to fit the customer’s needs, both the interior and exterior was adorned with custom logo identification techniques. Tadano had the advantage of great brand recognition, comfortable and affordable convention space and an aesthetically pleasing and accommodating atmosphere.

Technical Innovation : In order to maximize space in the use of a Double Wide Sales Office for convention space, wall racks were used for brochure displays on both the interior and exterior. In addition, lockers were placed on the covered deck of the building to store employee belongings. Custom tables and chairs allowed seating for potential customers and those who just wanted to get out of the sun. A compact bar, accented with stools, accommodated guests with beverages. The private conference rooms, in varying sizes, allowed for private meetings. A kitchen area complete with upper and base cabinets, offered storage space for thousands of brochures and model equipment. The compact design of the building met the customer’s space requirements in the convention booth setting and was made accessible by a ramp on the side and a wide staircase in the front. The building exterior was painted in Tadanos brand colors and had Tadano logos in dimensional letter signage in various locations.
