Suncor Convenience Store
Additional Info
Award Winner : NRB Modular Solutions
Architectural Excellence : The convenience store follows the Suncor brand image with features and finishes. The exterior is a combination of aluminum architectural panels and stone, most of which was preinstalled at the plant. Large front windows in the design maximize viewing in and out of the store along with capturing natural lighting. A large cooler was installed for the new wine and beer offering available at this location. Millwork, ceiling accents and MDF build-outs all add to the aesthetics of the store.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : High building insulation values and energy efficient lighting and systems help keep energy costs down. Accelerated scheduling means the store is open and doing business much sooner than with a conventional build. The amount of project management and on-site supervision for the owner is minimized, allowing them to deploy their own resources more effectively. Modular construction also provides a level of cost certainty for the owner as all the design requirements are captured early in the process, eliminating costly change orders that can occur with conventional builds.
