Steel Plant Facility
Additional Info
Award Winner : McDonald Modular Solutions, Inc.
Architectural Excellence : The original ten module complex needed to be reduced by three modules to meet the customer’s space limitations. Floor plan changes were made to accommodate the pedestrian and vehicle flow based on the new site as well as to account for the customer’s functional needs. Once the order was received a new side wall was installed and the interior reconfigurations and updates were completed at our service facility. Removal of the previous overhang and wooden exterior was done so that the building would match existing buildings in color and style.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : During renovations, the building’s electrical system was converted from single phase power to a more efficient three phase power.
The insulation package in the sidewalls was upgraded during renovation and building wrap was installed over the sheathing prior installation on the steel siding.
