Architectural Excellence : Southeast Georgia Health System decided they wanted to expand their healthcare services for the steadily growing veterans community living within the Southeast Georgia area who needed medical attention and care close to their homes. ModSpace’s healthcare team, MedBuild, provided them a Community Based Outpatient Clinic with 7,000 SF of space situated next to the Camden Campus of the Southeast Georgia Health System. The entire project was complete in 82 days, and includes 10 patient examining rooms, a waiting area, office space, and large lab space. The design also included a hardipanel exterior with a “Stucco” finish that was painted to match the design of the existing Camden Campus facility.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The Veterans Administration knew they had only a short amount of time to complete the project before the start of a new fiscal year on October 1, so funding was of utmost importance for backing the project and creating a fully operating clinic by the end of September. The modular solution allowed the VA and Southeast Georgia Healthcare system to quickly utilize funding for the much needed facility. The facility opened on September 23, 2008, and began seeing patients the very next day.
