Architectural Excellence : This two story, temporary office consists of 16 modules for a total of 9984 square feet. An interior staircase as well as several exterior staircases provide a connection between the first and second floor as well as access to the second story. The building is installed on a standard block and level foundation. The temporary building provides office space to the owner and a contractor during the construction of the transit mall at University of Washington’s Husky stadium as part of the light rail and subway project in Seattle, WA.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Modular construction was chosen due to the fact that the building will truly just be used during construction and then be removed from this site. Further the site would not have allowed for any material storage, the fence line is about 5’ away from the modular building. Offsite storage would have been necessary for any site building construction raising cost to obtain additional space. The building is equipped with energy efficient lighting with optical sensors to meet daylight zoning, as well as 12 seer high efficient HVAC units.

The conference room of the building has one smooth wall that was painted with a white board special paint to serve as a full wall white board.
