Silver Moon Diner
Additional Info
Award Winner : Kullman Buildings Corp.
Architectural Excellence : The Silver Moon Diner consists of eight modules, which total 4,500 sq. ft.. The Silver Moon Diner features many custom lighting fixtures, granite tile floor and counter tops. The diner's interior incorporates many classic details including stainless steel starbursts, etched glass, wood laminate and chrome accents.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Kullman's diner incorporates a wide variety of natural materials, each chosen based upon color, texture and durability. Examples include stainless steel, glass block, granite, and marble. These materials are installed by 'old-world' craftsmen utilizing means and methods developed over the course of 80 plus years. By utilizing off-site modular construction, diner owners are able to accelerate the time it takes to get a diner operational. Because factory construction can be overlapped with site construction for foundations, utilities, and civil work, total diner construction time from design to occupancy can be reduced by 50% over conventional construction techniques. Additionally, by being able to work within a factory controlled environment, higher quality standards, reduced material waste, and improved finishes are able to be achieved. Diners, which are the original relocatable buildings, are specially and uniquely designed for relocatability.
