Architectural Excellence : Salem Health Medical group was in need of a temporary medical facility to use in Woodburn, Oregon. Patient privacy and medical grade cleanliness were at the forefront of this project. Special consideration had to go into the design of the floor plan to ensure efficient workflow of the medical professionals. Noise concerns were met by Sound Transmission Class (STC) approved sound barriers within the walls to eliminate carried noise between the exam, staff, and washrooms. In addition to being soundproof, exam and treatment rooms needed to meet medical grade cleanliness standards. Linoleum was used for the floor covering throughout the facility and was extended up the wall in the soiled linen room per health code requirements. Baseboard covers were given extra attention with the intersecting corners of the base covers put in place to prevent dirt buildup.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Salem Health Medical Group required a cost-effective and timely constructed facility. Pacific Mobile’s ability to create the blueprint in-house saved the client money and time. The blueprint design was done using a 3-D Home Architect program giving the clients the ability to make last minute changes without the typically associated cost. Pacific Mobile worked with the client through several rounds of revisions before the final design was sent to the factory. The facility was built in the factory while the site was concurrently being prepared. The foundation was laid and ready for use when the building was completed, wasting no time moving forward with the project. This simultaneous process gave the client the ability to begin business within three days of the facility being delivered.

To meet the City of Woodburn Design Review criteria, 210 square-feet of windows were installed to cover the entire side of the building that was facing the street. Pacific Mobile used (10) 3’x 7’ solid windows to achieve an aesthetically pleasing design that met city standards. To continue the enhancement of the design, false columns were constructed on site to accomplish the clients desired appearance.
