Architectural Excellence : This 1200 person camp was designed for Executives and Trades workers in the Oil Sands Region of Ft McMurray, Alberta. Our complex incorporates a high standard interior finish to provide above ordinary living accommodations. Room designs include 200 sq. ft. private executive suites and 110 sq. ft. shared washroom style rooms. All rooms include a computer desk, custom cabinet work, telephone services, internet access, and 40 channel Satellite wiring for LCD TV/ DVD’s. Common areas include a Commercial kitchen with walk-in freezers/coolers, Diner, Coffee stations and Recreation areas. On site amenities include a fitness centre, games room and commissary. This lodge has fireplaces located in the front entrance way, dining room and a two-sided fireplace in the Executive Lounge. Extensive wood finishing, modern furnishings and custom lighting provide an architectural finish unique to PTI Lodges. Stone trim exterior finishes match the natural settings and provides a welcoming atmosphere.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Module construction was completed to the maximum level at the manufacturing plant to reduce site installation time and cost effective labor. Propane counter flow furnace/air conditioning units are provided for each room. High recovery 120 gallon hot water heaters with storage tanks and circulation systems reduce operating costs and provide “instant” hot water to the rooms. Low flow fixtures are utilized throughout the facility to reduce water consumption. Building envelope design details provide fully sealed vapor barriers. High R-value insulation is also utilized on all exterior walls, roofs and floors to minimize heating/cooling costs. Double glazed, Low “E”, PVC windows are used to further improve the building insulation characteristics. Make-up air systems are individually designed to provide enhanced efficiency for each section of the complex.

Technical Innovation : Electrical, mechanical and control systems are constructed at the manufacturing facility to minimize site construction time. Guest access is controlled and tracked through a card reader system. Custom software provides billing information and ensures security for guests. Completely self-contained water storage facilities are provided for potable water. The fire water system redirects potable water for the sprinkler system in the event of an alarm.
