Architectural Excellence : 1120 person camp designed for trade workers in Oil Sands Region. Open concept atrium with 16’ walls vaulting to 23’ ceilings site-built and set on a foundation of screw piles; main floor modularly constructed. Stone trim, granite counters at reception, and floating tile floors to prevent tile damage from shifting. Room designs are 110 sq. ft. with shared washrooms. All rooms include a computer desk, custom cabinet work, phone services, internet access, and satellite LCD TV. Common areas have commercial kitchen with walk-in freezers/coolers, diner, coffee stations and recreation areas. On site amenities include fitness center, games room and commissary. HammerStrength fitness center has custom rubber floor and all equipment is professional grade. Lodge has fireplaces in dining room. Extensive wood finishing, modern furnishings and custom lighting provide architectural finish unique to PTI Lodges. Stone trim exterior finishes match natural settings and provide welcoming atmosphere.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Module construction completed to maximum level at PTI manufacturing plant to reduce site installation time and labor costs. High efficiency, 120 gallon hot water heaters with storage tanks and circulation systems reduce operating costs and provide “instant” hot water to rooms. Low flow fixtures throughout the facility to reduce water consumption. 96% thermal efficient direct vent high efficiency furnaces, and energy efficient lamps and fixtures throughout the lodge add to cost effectiveness and energy efficiency. Building envelope design details provide fully sealed vapor barriers. High R-value insulation is also utilized on all exterior walls, roofs and floors to minimize heating/cooling costs. Double glazed, Low “E”, PVC windows are used to further improve building insulation characteristics. Make-up air systems are individually designed to provide enhanced efficiency for each section of complex. Load sharing generators and bi-fuel systems contribute to maximum efficiency of lodge.

Technical Innovation : Electrical, mechanical and control systems are constructed at the manufacturing facility to minimize site construction time. Guest access is controlled and tracked through a card reader system, which is centrally registered through Infinity software. Custom software provides billing information and ensures security for guests. Completely self-contained water storage facilities are provided for potable water and fire water systems that redirects potable water for the sprinkler system in the event of an alarm.
