Additional Info

Award Winner : Modular Genius, Inc.

Production Start Date : 5/26/2020

Total Square Feet : 720

Technical Innovation : The new mobile office included a T-grid ceiling with LED lights, LVT flooring, hi-rib steel siding, motion sensor lighting, and plenty of windows for high visibility of the main gate entrance. The roof was built so rainwater would run away from the office, down grade on site, and into rain barrels to prevent erosion.

Project Location State Name : DC

Project Location City : Washington

Occupied Date : 7/31/2020

Green Building Description : N/A

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Modular Genius’ contract included removal of the existing office, installation of the new office with gutters and down spouts, rain barrels, aluminum ramp, steps, and awnings. For ease of procurement, MGI supplied three flat screen wall-hung TV's, furniture, and kitchen appliances in their contract. This was all accomplished within the customer's budget.

Architectural Excellence : Pepco staff had been working out of a mobile office that was almost 20 years old. Over time it had become cramped and was not in the best condition. Modular Genius was contracted to remove the existing unit, and to replace with a new and larger office. The new security office had to look attractive and professional, as it is the first thing you see when entering the property, but also needed to be durable. The customer chose LVT flooring and hi-rib steel exterior. MGI supplied the customer with flat screen TV's, furnishings, and appliances. The drop ceiling helped the customer with voice/data wiring. Rain barrels, gutters, and down spouts were provided for environmental purposes.
