Architectural Excellence : The 9,600 square-foot modular core offers an experience similar to that of an upscale hotel. As you walk through the front doors, the lobby makes a lasting impression; it is the customers first touch point and influences the rest of their stay. The core’s open-concept makes it an inviting place to meet, socialize, and relax after work.
The stunning, 18-foot rock wall separating the common area’s recreational side from the dining side contains a 50” LCD TV, a beautiful fireplace and is the focal point of the room.
Conveniently located beside the recreation area is a commercial quality gym with tinted windows and locker storage. Other highlights are the free-standing 16' x 60' golf simulator, which is directly accessible from the recreation area and the theatre room with 8-person seating. The rich, earthy color scheme enhances the relaxed atmosphere further. The residents overall camp experience is influenced by the positive experience found in the core.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : This recreation core was installed at an older existing site that needed major renovations. Working within the constraints of the client’s existing site to update it and enhance it with extra features, existing units were reused fully to save building costs and to eliminate the potential excess waste that typically results from renovation projects of this size.
Certain cost-effective materials were selected that helped keep the project on budget without sacrificing quality standards. For instance, commercial linoleum was used for its upgraded “hardwood” appearance, which added to the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere that was being created.
By using new modular construction in lieu of onsite renovations, we were able to reduce the level of disruptions experienced by the client and residence.

Technical Innovation : This custom camp brings several 18-hole golf courses to a remote location through its custom-designed golf simulator unit. By expanding the width and height of a typical modular unit to a full 16' wide with 10' ceilings, it creates a professional and highly durable golf experience for the residents.
This golf simulator unit required a higher level of structural integrity; balls are constantly hitting the wall at 100 mph, so the wall has to be impact-resistant. This unit is not only spacious enough to accommodate two foursomes, it also meets standard fire codes, provides access to electronic panels and houses special measuring equipment and cameras. It also has a constant online connection to the supplier’ American headquarters for peak calibration.
During fabrication, a higher-end grade of material was used to ensure the unit’s durability; this included longer-life floor coverings and vinyl. An innovative double-floor system was installed, and higher ceilings were included.
