Architectural Excellence : The project enhances a new private school campus located in a California coastal community. The exterior is a combination of lap siding and stucco finish Hardipanel** painted various vivid colors to add architectural interest. The monoslope roof matches the angular architectural style of the building. The simple interior design features exposed clear span trusses at each modline. The trusses are painted black to contrast the white material encapsulating the ceiling insulation eliminating the need for a dropped ceiling. This creates a spacious open impression in all classrooms. Special attention was given to the appearance of HVAC connections and wiring normally contained within the ceiling cavity. Select stone accent facades are used to compliment the siding and colors. Solar sails are stretched between the buildings to shade the students and add architectural interest.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Economic consideration was achieved by use of the same floor design for all buildings and simultaneous production. Improved cost per square foot was created by using longer modules than traditional California classroom units. Grade level entry dictated a stem wall foundation and little consideration to relocatability was given.
