Mobile Tech Lab
Additional Info
Award Winner : Vesta Modular
Architectural Excellence : When the Tennessee Board of Regents reached out to VESTA, the need was to establish a mobile vocational and professional training building that was relocatable from college campus to campus as the school semesters required the classroom needs , VESTA responded with a technical design that provided maximum flexibility. The unit would work for the welding lab or a nursing station design with minor changes to adapt the use of the building. The module sizes and changes accommodate the interior design requirements while maintaining the aesthetic required by TBR.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The buildings being designed to be relocated has saved TBR millions of dollars of site-built construction on multiple campuses. This design eliminates redesign of the building with only minor changes to accommodate other vocational or professional training. The buildings, stair and ramp systems, and foundation system are designed allow the building to be quickly relocated as needed by TBR from campus to campus.
