Architectural Excellence : This building went through a major renovation to transform it from the gutted shell of a real estate sales center, into a large planning and construction office. It was designed to accommodate the client’s specific needs for a transit authority project office to be on site for four to five years during construction that is also open to the public.
Materials and finishes were selected for functionality and durability, the doors and windows were reconfigured and the front of the building was redesigned to include a 24' glazed glass wall, full-access ramp, and detached exterior awning to provide protection from the elements.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : This building provides a cost-effective, energy-efficient and low-maintenance space solution customized to client specifications and space requirements without the capital expense of a new building. Energy-efficient features include low-energy lighting with skylights in the open office to maximize natural light, a heat pump A/C-heat system, low-flow toilets and waterless urinals.
