Architectural Excellence : MidCentral Energy Services came to Aries Building Systems, LLC wanting a modular relocatable workforce camp with 90 beds in total. The goal was to design and build a set of cost-efficient, easy to install and maintain modular buildings with renewable finishes throughout the interior and exterior that are comfortable as well as durable. Aries executed the build using a combination of refurbished units and new units whose components and assemblies are efficient and structurally sound from a maintenance perspective. The buildings are comprised of 18 prefabricated 100% modular units integrated into a functional and distinctive freestanding floor plan with adequate walking paths between them. Of those 18 units, 9 were newly built units (5 bedrooms, 5 baths with common kitchen/living area) by the Aries Troy factory, the rest were restored from Aries’ used modular inventory and reprocessed through their fabrication factory for a facelift to provide a “like new” product.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Aries Building Systems, LLC proved to be the best solution for comfortable and affordable high-quality modular workforce housing. The 27,524 square feet camp was prefabricated in an offsite factory and transported in 18 modular units, half of which were procured from Aries’ in-house used modular buildings inventory to minimize cost. The used modular buildings were run through a production factory to give them a facelift and guarantee their durability and structural integrity. All 18 units are 100% modular at 95% completeness when leaving the factory. The project plan allowed 15 days for the necessary module design components, 40 days for fabrication and 25 days for delivery, installation, and finishing. The building’s finishes are all renewable, contributing to lower maintenance costs while increasing the lifespan of the whole structure.

considerations incorporated into the design from the outset and utilizing elements of pre-built modules. The workforce camp project was executed using a combination of new and refurbished units constructed primarily of steel to reduce costs for the customer and ensure the durability of the structures. Steel was used as the primary structural material as it is lighter, structurally efficient, and very cost-effective. All refurbished modules were procured from Aries’ in-house used modular buildings inventory and processed through a fabrication factory to give them a facelift and guarantee their durability and structural integrity.
