Architectural Excellence : This 7 modules, 6272 square feet Alternative High School facility was pit set on perimeter footings in a u-shape configuration to create an on grade courtyard setting. The building is just occupying a small corner of donated property, adjacent to district owned property that is intended for a future elementary school. Different rooflines that tie into each other and lap siding were used in order to give the structure a more permanent and appealing appearance.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : This structure is truly temporary as the district intends to relocate the facility in the future. The school district decided to build modular in order to save money and preserve their funds for the future elementary school project. In addition Modern was able to deliver a full turnkey project, including site development, which provided significant timesavings. To integrate all services into one company allowed the district to occupy the building in record time. Project completion was 60 days from start to finish and was an important factor in order to have the Alternative High School operational for the upcoming school year.

Large quantities of rock were brought in, to replace the removed contaminated soil.
In addition, an easement had to be granted, because the site is close to an active rail line.
