Life Bridge Christian Church
Additional Info
Award Winner : Satellite Shelters, Inc.
Architectural Excellence : After outgrowing their old facility, a local church chose modular construction as a solution to their expanding membership. The church needed enough space to fit their 150+ growing membership, but wanted the space to look and feel like a permanent facility. They also needed a wide open sanctuary to accommodate their special lighting and sound effects equipment, a separate foyer entrance to provide easy flow into the sanctuary, and nursery and classrooms to be placed away from the sanctuary.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Modular Construction was more affordable and efficient than conventional construction for this project because we were able to provide this customer with the space they needed along with all the extras they were looking for in a short amount of time without an exorbitant cost.

Technical Innovation : The partial pit set building has concealed gutters, DIG windows, and double glass entry doors. The angled shingled mansard, hardi lap siding, stacked river stone, and the portico at the main entrance gives this building the permanent feel that the church members desired. The sanctuary ceiling was left open and painted black to conceal the HVAC system and steel clear span beams. This gave the church the additional ceiling height that they needed in the sanctuary for their special lighting and sound effects equipment. The nursery and classrooms were placed on the opposite side of the building from the sanctuary to ensure a quiet atmosphere for their services.
