Architectural Excellence : Our Kinbasket Lake Lodge is comprised of a 408-person facility providing remote accommodations for multiple contractors on the Colombia River approximately 135 kilometers north of the City of Revelstoke B.C. This lodge is operated as a joint venture between Horizon North Camps and Catering and the Sexqeltkmec of the Secwepemc (Shuswap) First Nations. This custom designed lodge features a core complex with reception, security, offices, mudroom, luggage, paramedic room, lounge, exercise, games area, public washrooms, spacious dining area and commercial kitchen layout. The dormitory wings are two-storey design with exterior finish reflecting the client's corporate colors. All bedrooms feature private washroom ammenities for client convenience and comfort.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The production of this facility was done completely in our Kamloops, BC manufacturing plant, which is relatively close to the client’s site, thereby minimizing transportation costs. The buildings were designed for the high mountain snow load requirements for this particular site, complete with enhanced R-value insulation for energy conservation. Low-flow plumbing fixtures, high efficiency lighting and utilization of our local First Nations labour force for the site installation process all contributed to the cost savings approach for this facility.

Technical Innovation : The lodge consists of six two-storey dormitory wings for craft workers and two, two-storey wings for managers. The entire facility was designed with electric HVAC systems and all electric kitchen equipment, to be utilized for a renewal resource energy system (hydro electricity. Recirculating hot water systems, energy efficient appliances and low maintenance interior furnishings all contribute to operational cost saving features of this facility. Our services also provide caterings, housekeeping, grounds and facility maintenance, all in collaboration with our First Nations Partners.
