Architectural Excellence : The client had an existing 6,233 m2 workshop with an asbestos roof that need to be replaced to comply with a governmental mandate. This roof renovation had to be completed without interruption to the workshop’s operations. Our SUPERMODULE system was selected as we were able to renovate the entire roof without any disruptions or interruptions to the the client's workshop below. For this project we designed, manufactured and installed 680 prefabricated SUPERMODULES. Utilizing our method we were able to remove the existing roof and install our modular bipv roofing system in 40% less time than the client’s Architect has scheduled.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Our SUPERMODULES were installed utilizing a crane by our team. Other than the metal elements associated with the PV panels and the waterproofing membrane the self supporting roofing structure was manufactured out of wood so as to keep in line with the Renewable nature of Swiss construction norms.

Green Building Description : CECE is the energy certification system for Swiss buildings. When a project achieves the maximum level of insulation above the original preexisting construction the building's owner gains a higher federal incentive. In the case of this building our SUPERMODULE achieved the highest level of incentives as it was newly insulated with certified R30 mineral wool. The insulation requirements and federal incentives vary on a Canto to Canton (Swiss states) basis.
Being that we specialize in bipv roofing solutions, we appreciate the fact that the PV roof will continuously generate electricity thus greatly improves the overall ROI with each subsequent year, this allows our client's to achieve a relatively low cost roof while doing the most good for the environment.

Technical Innovation : Utilizing our patented SUPERMODULE system, we are able to prefabricate the entire roofing system with integrated photovoltaics. Given the fact that client needed to maintain operations below our roof renovation coupled with the large spans, our SUPERMODULE system provided all required needs for a roofing system. Integrated PV + Waterproof membrane + R30 thermal insulation + underside finish. A one step product that significantly sped up the roof renovation process while reducing labor redundancies and potential bottleneck points.
