Architectural Excellence : A new golf club in a community south of Ottawa, Canada was looking for an attractive clubhouse and pro shop to serve as a focal welcoming point for golfers. ATCO’s signature series units provided the client with a facility that included a reception area, restaurant, washrooms, kitchen facility and dry storage room.

Located in a treed area, it was important that ATCO provided a facility that respected the surroundings. The exterior of the facility is wood siding, complementing the interlock ramps and patios, grass, trees and shrubs.

The clubhouse interior provides golfers with a warm and comfortable atmosphere, created using carpet, tile, vinyl, covered drywall, suspended ceilings, large windows and custom blinds.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : A crane was used to install the building on adjustable stands to allow for quick installation and future adjustments, if needed. Two electrical panels have been used, interconnected by a single feed to eliminate time consuming connection of junction boxes between modules. This also allowed for quick inspection by electrical safety authority.

The building was manufactured with a steel frame and running gear, and installed on adjustable steel stands to allow the modules to be moved without a float in the future. The building is also bolted together at engineered points which allow for quick alignment during installation as well as quick disconnection at removal.

ATCO custom-designed and manufactured the clubhouse with consideration that the facility could be moved in the future easily, without compromising the quality or functionality of the units.

Technical Innovation : Within 90 days, ATCO designed, built and installed the clubhouse, customized to client specification. The three-month turn around allowed the golf course to open for the golf season, on-track for a successful business season.
