Architectural Excellence : In June of 2013, the town of High River, Alberta was hit with massive flooding. Following the floods, officials needed to act quickly to restore essential services to the town's 13,000 residents. ATCO was engaged to provide three temporary fire stations including accommodations for the fire fighters and Sprung structures for the fire fighting trucks and equipment. Each location includes office space and dormitories as well as recreation, fitness and dining areas with high-end finishings. A combined 46 beds were provided to the town's fire fighters to support the community.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : To reduce the time and cost associated with this type of rapid installation, ATCO utilized all available fleet. Modifications were made to convert office units to recreation space, and commercial kitchens were assembled to accommodate the onsite staff.

Technical Innovation : A variety of units were used including staff quarters, sleepers and wellsites to provide flexibility to onsite staff. By providing a variety of equipment and using seamless installation, ATCO was able to provide the much needed fire halls and accommodations quickly to limit the risk to the town.
