Architectural Excellence : A developer of town and estate homes chose this 24'x60'modular building to be used as a sales center for the Hidden Rock of Cave Creek residential community. The site of this project is located on a scenic mountainside of Cave Creek, AZ. The building features two offices, a breakroom, and a bathroom. Exterior features include a HardiPanel® Stucco finish and mansard roof. A temporary panel was built spanning the front and side of the building and includes wood accent, Cor-Ten steel, and a custom vinyl wrap that incorporates the developer's project logo. The interior has upgraded interior finishes, tile and carpet flooring, custom paint and design décor. Several large windows in the rear of the unit allows for natural light and gives prospective buyers a view of the properties.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : The customer wanted a temporary space that appeared to be a permanent building. The site was excavated roughly 30" below ground and the building was pit set below grade. Skirting with vent boxes was added, which gave the appearance that the modular was actually stick-built. By choosing a used building, the customer was able to forego the costs of adding a new A/C unit, electrical wiring, and custom features.

Technical Innovation : Due to a limited timeframe, the customer needed a building that already had high-end features. Because the building that the customer chose had upgraded features including HardiPanel® Stucco siding, ceramic bathroom tile, can lighting and tegular ceiling tile, they were able to take possession of the building quickly without the need to start from scratch. Four large windows were installed off-site. On-site, the interior walls featured textured paint and upgraded tile. Carpet was installed, and the space was finished by adding modern decor. A custom built panel was added to the facade that included rust coated, Cor-Ten steel accents, rough-sawn redwood siding, and a custom vinyl wrap that features the developers logo. Spanning the entire front of the building and around one side, the panel is set slightly off of the building and can be taken apart easily and reused by the customer when the development is complete.
