Architectural Excellence : Through the EBE program, General Motors is requiring all GM dealerships to carry out their "Image Renovation Program." In order to achieve these goals while continuing to operate, Gastrof Chevrolet decided to lease a modular building to be used as their sales center. The modular building that suited their needs was a double wide consisting of 1,344 square feet. This building includes four private offices, ADA restroom, coffee bar, and a large open area to accommodate space for four additional sales representatives.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The temporary sales office created an atmosphere of excitement that increased sales during the first two months of occupancy. By bringing the modular to their parking lot, Gastorf Chevrolet was able to continue to operate from their location instead of having to move to an alternate temporary location. By providing a flexible lease option, Gastorf was not locked into a longterm lease. This building was delivered and installed on a Sunday when the dealership was closed. Come Monday morning, it was business as usual and sales continued without interruption.
