Architectural Excellence : The building is being used as a Sales Center for a car dealership. The exterior has Stucco siding and a 16” mansard with recessed exterior lighting. A double store-front door with clear safety glass and brass exterior lights allows for heavy customer traffic and a 20ga. steel personnel door is used by employees. 4’x6’ fixed windows line the front of the building for visual access to the car lot. The interior layout has offices, conference room and handicapped restroom. All interior doors are solid core with 6-panels. The customer chose Disney colors by Behr for interior wall finishes.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The main savings for the customer came in allowing them to do their own electrical work and construction of mansard on site. The customer had family who were contractors so all materials for the mansard and exterior electric were shipped loose and the construction was done by them on site. To save money in maintenance and utility costs, the 4x6 windows were double-insulated, roof drains were provided for the mansard and all doors were upgraded to save on wear and tear.

Technical Innovation : We partnered with the customer in finishing the mansard and exterior lighting on site. The customer wanted a full 14’wide building but also wanted a large custom-design mansard with recessed lighting in the soffitt. The factory upgraded the load center to 200 amp to allow room for spare breakers for additional future customer-installed exterior lighting. It also provided the wiring on the exterior to allow customer to tie in to main electric. All material for mansard was shipped loose so customer could install on site. The customer was also concerned with noise from the air conditioner in the conference area. A plenum wall was installed by the factory to insulate the hvac and provide a quieter environment in that room.
