Architectural Excellence : Britco’s design team worked in collaboration with the bank’s representative to design and build the First Arkansas Bank and Trust. This design ultimately met or exceeded all corporate standards and specifications and, importantly, addressed all security and functionality concerns while preserving the bank’s professional image. The bank features a double-glazed glass vestibule, a 6/12 standing seam roof and a two-lane drive thru canopy constructed for functionality, aesthetic appearance and design appeal. In the Modular portion, the 18’ wide glass front entry opens to a large lobby that faces a custom cabinet teller line finished with Formica cherry and granite tops. The ceiling height is 9', and along with custom select flooring combining carpet, ceramic tile and P-Lam flooring, creates a warm and friendly atmosphere within the building.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Using Britco’s Modular Buildings, with the combination of the concurrently scheduled site work and off-site pre-built modular units, the bank was completed in considerably less time than it would have taken for site construction. The factory portion took only 19 working days to complete, and the units were delivered on time and on budget, allowing the bank to be open for business in a very compressed time period. The building design met or exceeded all the latest IECC energy codes. This included a 15 Seer HVAC system, low E insulated windows, T-8 florescent lighting, fully insulated interior walls for sound attenuation and high density insulation in the exterior walls to minimize heat loss.

Technical Innovation : The modules were fabricated on perimeter frames to allow them to be recessed into a concrete foundation, which allowed for sidewalk-level entry. The frames were reinforced to accommodate high floor loads for the safe and safety deposit box areas. The bank included an eight foot bullet resistant window, a night depository and a commercial deal drawer in the drive thru. All codes respective to Arkansas and the local authorities were met or exceeded in the construction of the building.
