Architectural Excellence : With an astonishing view and built on a hill overlooking the Pacific ocean, this office was constructed for a port facility to mainly export copper out of the country. Iquique is 1800 kilometres away from Santiago. It is a two-story wood structure that boasts magnificent architectural features such as a truss roof, private offices, a conference room, bathrooms, kitchen and colours that add character to the office.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Units were built in Santiago and transported over 1800 kilometres through Chilean territory with the furniture inside. The true effectiveness of this modular system lends itself well in this type of harsh climatic condition. Having this project built in the Tecno Fast ATCO S.A. manufacturing facility, allowed us to reduce costs and build in the most efficient way. With numerous mines in the area, finding skilled tradesmen and local workers is scarce. Also, obtaining material on site would have been challenging as resources are not always available or cost efficient, thus building in our own controlled environment allowed the safety of workers to be better monitored and ensured production would not be compromised due to extreme climates.

Technical Innovation : The wooden truss roof is quite a nice touch with rib metal roofing and all of the modules created with wood siding. Another simple added touch was making the air conditioning into a duct free split-system throughout the office.
