Architectural Excellence : The F1 Outdoor Racing building is a 1,248 sq ft multi purpose modular structure doubling as a training room and concession stand. The building consists of two 12 x 52 modules, while custom designed 9 foot hard ceilings create an illusion of a much larger space. The building’s corrugated steel siding provides a sleek modern appeal to match the look and feel of the racetrack. The building boasts over 120 sq ft of bay style windows which provide a clear view of the adjacent race track. The British racing green colored mansard consists of custom cut steel with a nominal 2” overhang providing additional roof drainage while adding to the stylish appearance of the building. The interior features a concession room, two handicap accessible bathrooms and a multi use open space. The concession room was created with a 48 x 48 horizontal slider to allow customers to purchase food and drinks via the outside deck area.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : Modular construction was the ideal alternative to conventional construction with better construction efficiency and less downtime. The F1 Racing building project was a turn key design build project boasting only 10 weeks of production from design to completion. 90% of construction was done off site, diminishing site disturbance while allowing for better recycling of materials to be used for future projects. Large bay windows decrease electrical costs by allowing for better natural lighting. The 48 x 48 horizontal concession slider promotes purchases from the outside deck area, decreasing the amount of foot traffic in and out of the building while resulting in a minimization of energy loss. Photo cell controlled 150 watt exterior lighting sensors activate lights at dusk and switch them off at dawn.

Technical Innovation : The F1 Outdoor Racing building features a custom cut 24 inch mansard with nominal 2” overhang running the circumference of the building, providing additional roof drainage while complementing the overall aesthetics of the building. 9 foot ceilings provide a large amount of mountable wall space for helmet racks and racing equipment, while creating an illusion of a larger working area. A 48 x 48 horizontal slider was designed to allow customers to purchase items via the outside deck area, decreasing the amount of foot traffic in and out of the structure. Crank windows were mounted in the upper panes of the bay windows to increase natural air flow. Commercial grade carpet was installed throughout the building to withstand the wear and tear of a high traffic area.
