Architectural Excellence : Enterprise was interested in a facility that was low maintenance for the exterior appearance. A refurbished modular unit provided the customer with a low-maintenance solution to their space problem. GE’s Modular Space began to update the building by using horizontal vinyl siding that was installed on-site to create a seamless, finished look. The interior was further updated by re-routing duct work and installing offices, a kitchenette, handicapped accessible restroom, new panels, double deck floor, new ceiling, windows, store front doors, interior windows and custom covers for the HVAC units.

The finish product gave the customer a complete turn-key solution that was ready to occupy once the keys were handed over.

Once the building was complete, the customer further updated the building by painting the window and door trim in their corporate colors and installing matching carpet.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : The Enterprise team contacted GE’s Modular Space for a fast, cost-effective, attractive and functional alternative to their previous structure.

Due to budget and timeframe purposes, GE proposed a custom/in-fleet project that would require refurbishment of an existing building. GE used a 1998 classroom building and did a complete modification on the interior and exterior of the building.

GE provided a 12’ x 56' Designer Series unit with an ADA ramp and sewage system for Enterprise to use for one month during the transition.

Once the new building was complete, GE disconnected the plumbing and electric from the transitional modular unit and hauled the building away. The new 28’ x 70' complex was then delivered and installed by GE - complete with reconnection of the plumbing, electrical, ramp, deck and landscaping – all within 60 days.
