Architectural Excellence : This building was designed to allow for customers to easily see in building from street to see machines and to see if currently occupied. Space for signage and advertisements were a must while also keeping the overall footprint and height of the unit to a minimum. An additional dormer was incorporated to allow for signage and help attract customers to the unit. The dormer gives the unit a unique appearance and “dog house” feel. Customers see the design from the main highway, and it helps to drive attention to the unit. Easy access is the key as there is a small step into the unit for the canine. With the easy dog wash doors in the unit’s coin-operated wash systems, dogs can jump right in or be lifted easily for their bath. Since it’s inception in May the unit has gained a lot of popularity not only with happy customers but happy dogs and puppies too.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : By designing this building to be easy to transport we have eliminated almost all the costs of transportation that are typical of modular construction. The steel beam transport frame allows for easy lifting by lifts and being sturdy enough to withstand the strain of transporting and lifting of building. Space consideration allowed for the addition of a second dog wash unit with a very slight increase of the total square footage required and doubling the capacity of the unit which nearly eliminates any significant wait times for use.

Green Building Description : Since the inception of the K9000 Dog Was Bay, there have been issues with harsh climates. In many areas, these bays are placed outside or in tent type structures that took significant resources if they were to run during the winter months or to even cool during the summer. This building has a unique design that was made to be compact and support dog wash stations while being code compliant wherever a customer may want to place it. Fitted with insulation ratings of R30 in the flooring, walls, and ceiling makes it very efficient for heating and cooling. LED lighting allows the building to be lit 24/7 and provide excellent lighting for customers to see while in and outside of the building.

Technical Innovation : The Dog Wash building was designed to be very portable and simple to set. We designed with the intent of being effortless to load and unload by two people with readily available rental type lifts and to also work well on a standard flatbed trailer for cost-effective transportation and relocation by building owner. Our unique fiberglass and epoxy wall and floor system creates a water tight environment within the building. The building owner is able to hose down the building to clean of waste, pet hair and dirt then simply drain water without any risk of deteriorating the building structure while also disinfecting and therefore leads to a significant increase in lifespan.
