Architectural Excellence : The Charter Schools Development Corporation – San Antonio Prep had outgrown the capacity of their original facilities and sought to expand their campus with more classrooms and a new cafeteria. Aries Building Systems, LLC was called in to design, fabricate and install a new freestanding school annex for the growing San Antonio Prep campus. The new annex is made up of 28 modules in the following configuration: 2(171’x74’) and 1(82’x70’). The building’s interiors were designed and installed by Aries, while the exteriors were designated by the City of San Antonio and completed by The Charter Schools Development Corporation.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Aries Building Systems, LLC worked closely with the Charter School Development Corporation to provide fully operational, relocatable structures that were comfortable, functional, and cost-efficient. Aries Building Systems, LLC coordinated all utility connections, fire alarm and communications infrastructure ensuring costs were kept at a minimum. All finishes used during construction are renewable, contributing to lower maintenance costs, and nearly double the lifespan of a standard relocatable classroom.

Technical Innovation : San Antonio Prep required an affordable and comfortable classroom and cafeteria solution for their faculty and student body. Aries Buildings Systems, LLC was tasked to deliver just that with the construction considerations incorporated into the design from the outset and utilizing elements of pre-built modules. The modular structure was permanently installed on a ready pad foundation provided by the Charter Schools Development Corporation. Modular construction was completed with MEP connections, interior finishes, lighting system, restroom facilities, and electrical and plumbing fittings.
