Architectural Excellence : The Charter Schools Development Corporation – Promesa Academy had outgrown the capacity of their original facilities and sought to expand their campuses. Aries Building Systems, LLC was called in to design, fabricate and install a new freestanding school annex for the growing Promesa Academy campus. The new annex is made up of twelve modules in the following configuration: 1(192’x74’). The building’s interiors were designed and installed by Aries as general classroom space with restrooms, while the exteriors were designated by the City of San Antonio and completed by The Charter Schools Development Corporation.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Aries Building Systems, LLC elected for a modular build to save the Academy time and money, without sacrificing a real and close-knit campus feel. The modular complex is made up of large classroom buildings to keep more classes under one roof and minimize costs. The entire project design, fabrication, installation, and finishing were completed in 150 days to meet the deadline for the start of school.

The Charter Schools Development Corporation was looking for a sustainable option with an innovative modular design to increase the flexibility of the buildings, reduce the dreaded infrastructure time and environmental impact. The building’s modular design ensures reduced maintenance costs and increases the lifespan of the campus structures without sacrificing quality and style.
