Architectural Excellence : Enter the Creeburn Lake Lodge and you will discover it is not just an ordinary permanent operating facility. It offers a high level of comfort and amenities just like a hotel. There are 26-foot vaulted ceilings with exposed timber trusses and modern furniture that encompass the lobby. The 130,000 square foot Lodge includes a dining room, licensed lounge, games room, fitness centre, meeting rooms, television rooms, laundry facilities and on-site parking with plug-ins. Each room features a 26-inch LCD TV/DVD system, high speed Internet and individual environment controls. The lodge currently has 500 rooms and has the ability to expand to 1,000 rooms in the future.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : This joint venture between ATCO Frontec and the Fort MacKay First Nations was constructed to house workers in the oilsands region of Alberta, north of Fort MacKay to withstand the area’s minus 30 degree Celsius winter weather.
