Architectural Excellence : The 5,800 sq. ft. Classroom Annex expands the academy’s Arts and Science curriculum significantly. The (6) modules that make up the building are seamlessly assembled to create an 1,626 sq ft Science Laboratory, wrapped by an “L” shaped 1-hour rated hallway; which is also surrounded by a spacious 900 sq. ft. classroom, Student and Teachers Restrooms, a main office, janitors office, multiple large Storage Areas and a 1,200 sq. ft dance studio complete with male and female locker rooms. The building’s exterior is a 29 ga. Vertical Steel Siding to match the existing structures on campus.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : The Exit Signage typically powered by standard electricity, was converted to a Tritium filled gas tube Exit Sign requiring No Power.

All Lab Equipment including Sinks, Counter Tops, and Cabinets were factory installed and coordinated with a leading manufacturer of Lab Testing and Chemical Resistant Equipment.

Technical Innovation : The Science Laboratory has many exciting factory-built features, including: a built-in 8’ long Instructors Desk, complete with sink, gas valves, drain interceptors and a nearby emergency eye-wash station and state of the art “Smart Board”. The white base cabinets and glass front wall cabinets are set off by the black chemical resistant countertops that flank each side of the large laboratory. The 60’ back wall has raised windows to accommodate a row of research computers and still allow a significant amount a Day Lighting that is evident throughout the building.

The building also includes a Contemporary Dance Studio, that in addition to the Female and Male Change Rooms / Lockers, has been factory wired for a Sound System and also includes frosted windows, built-in and free standing ballet bars, additional sound barriers and an impressive Sprung Floor System.
