CNRL Kirby Lake Office Complex
Additional Info
Production Start Date : 7/1/2011
Architectural Excellence : The CNRL Kirby Lake office complex includes office space, a control room, a locker room, a lunchroom and an attached pre-engineered warehouse building for an oil sands site. The office complex features a site built truss roof with skylights and canopies over the entrance. Wider hallways, squared-off corners and ceilings over nine feet high increase the feeling of spaciousness. Hallways include birch ply chair rail and squared-off corners to reduce the "modular feel" of the office building and lunchroom. A combination of commercial grade carpet and linoleum enhances the complex’s appearance while providing a long lasting, durable finish.
Category : Permanent: Office: over 10,000 sq. ft.
Total Square Feet : 13056
Technical Innovation : Heavy duty construction materials, additional sheer walls and re-enforced pile foundation provide blast-resistance to the complex. The office includes a fire suppression system (wet pipe) throughout the building, including the truss roof. A clean agent fire extinguishing system was installed in the control room to prevent potential damage to electrical equipment. Mold and mildew resistant finishes were used in the locker rooms and other wet areas to increase longevity.
