Architectural Excellence : The Clearcreek Elementary School project comprises four modules, of which each is 16'x68', that are configured into four large 30'x30' classrooms and a hallway. A custom glass corridor was built that connects the modular addition to the existing school structure. Each classroom has four large windows which allow natural light to flow into the space. For the exterior treatment, our team color-matched the masonry, scuppers, downspouts and metal trim to provide a seamless addition to the building that replicates the existing school structure.

Cost Energy Effectiveness : Faced with a time crunch and the possibility of redistricting elementary-aged students, Pac-Van provided a solution to keep students enrolled in their current school. Because the building was constructed off-site and installation was done primarily during summer break, there was little to no distraction to the students. Due to the project being completed faster than a traditional stick-built structure, the school district received a cost-efficient and timely solution while also saving potential transportation expenses from having to redistrict students.

Technical Innovation : As with many communities that are not familiar with modular construction, our biggest challenge was to ensure the community that the structure would blend in aesthetically with the rest of the facility. Because the exterior facade is an exact match to the existing school structure, the client and residents of the community are unable to tell the difference in buildings and are extremely pleased with the results of the project.
