Architectural Excellence : Since its very beginning, the project was clearly focused on contemporary architecture and sustainable construction methods; Santander Rio’s premises were located within Universidad Católica de Córdoba’s (Córdoba’s Catholic University) campus.
The positioning of the building guarantees customers easy access from internal campus streets. The compact structure shape offers a differentiated element; private and modest as compared to its surroundings. The reception area in the first module leads to the counters, customer care hall and ATM area. The module includes the offices, restrooms and a small coffee break lounge. The project consists of two 340-sq. ft. modules with a total surface of 680 sq. ft. Restroom and floor coverings are made of porcellanato, walls and ceilings are made of removable gypsum boards. Secured areas (back ATM, Treasury) were fortified and shielded to meet the Bank’s safety requirements.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The need to build a bank at the offices of Universidad Católica de Córdoba led to the selection of a modular building system for actual project execution. Executing the works during the university winter break and minimizing in situ tasks and post-work land disturbance were of the utmost importance.

Technical Innovation : Indoor space quality is achieved thanks to the choice of materials and to a three-fold concept that escapes purely functional considerations, in addition to the natural lighting that continuously enters the building through its frames.
The original idea was to build it within a short period of time, particularly focusing on combined space use. The bank’s goal was to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere for its customers and employees through the premises themselves and by integrating them with the environment.
