Architectural Excellence : This 10-unit complex was built to accommodate VIPs for one of the largest oil & gas exhibitions in North America. The Signature Series units feature upgraded commercial appearance with durable smart board wood siding and large 48" x 60" windows for a bright environment for hosting and entertaining.
The entry to the building featured commercial glass doors leading into an open reception area for greeting guests. Private meeting rooms and large open spaces were incorporated into the design for VIPs to network and carry out their business. To accommodate food and beverage service, a food preparation area was designed for the back of the building with ramp accessibility to the outside for easy loading of supplies, as well as a functioning wet bar along the end wall.
Glass panel walls were used in some of the offices to give the space an open feel.
The washrooms featured high-end fixtures and side-lit mirrors.
Cost Energy Effectiveness : The buildings were only to be on site for the duration of the 3-day show. With only one access point to the site, a small footprint and just 4 days to complete the installation, transportation had to be carefully coordinated to ensure the right units were delivered at the right time. Units were mounted and leveled on blocks and skirted to give a permanent look. Crews worked around the clock to have everything in place.
ATCO also completed full electrical hook ups, plumbing and sewage, and provided rough-ins for the data and voice wiring required by the telecom partner.
The dismantle of the complex commenced at the close of the exhibition and all buildings and materials were removed, and the site restored to its initial condition within 48 hours.
The building was designed in a manner that could be used as a multipurpose space, as well as an office complex. As such, the complex was sold to a client looking to expand their current office space.

Technical Innovation : To give the buildings a VIP look and feel, luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed in the open areas, which is also very durable for the daily traffic expected of more than 200 visitors per day. In the offices the innovative carpet tiles are a composite textile that is incredibly durable, stain-repellent, traps airborne allergens and irritants and has a major impact on noise suppression. They are also completely recyclable.
A combination of energy efficient LED and fluorescent lighting was used throughout the building. LED backlit signs were used on the outside of the building for identification and direction.
A handicap lift was installed for accessibility to the raised deck.
