Architectural Excellence : Ardsley is an elite country club located on top of a mountain with a single access road approximately 9’ wide. Due to a fire, the club was anxious to have the modulars installed quickly so their golf course could open on time. Drawings and customized layouts were completed in record time. We delivered the units up that road one by one then staged them in a parking lot. When all the units were delivered each one was craned into place. The entire process took only one month. The AS Flex product created an 18 piece compound. 20’ x 8’ sections were used to create the retail pro shop and golf bag storage area. Within this space there is also a compact but efficient office for the manager. The retail area has floor to ceiling windows that offer a view of the putting green. Double glass doors complete the look. Adjacent to the pro shop is two 20’ x 16’ units that house separate changing rooms for the men and women. Next to that is another 20’x 16’ unit used as additional office space.

Technical Innovation : The primary advantage of using the AS Flex units on this site was the size of the AS Flex units – each 20’ x 8’. Due to the club’s location and single access road, typical modular solutions would not work but the 20’ x 8’ AS Flex units could make it up that mountain. The versatility and flexibility of the panelized AS Flex product made this project a one-month success story for a customer who needed to open a facility on time but still wanted the end result to meet its clientele’s high expectations.
