JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the ongoing performance and reliability of all machinery, tools, and facility systems within the factory. This includes overseeing preventative maintenance, coordinating repairs, supporting production uptime, and managing a small team of technicians. The role is both hands-on and supervisory in nature. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager/Director of Development. The Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with the Floor Production Manager to support day-to-day plant operations but will be accountable to the Operations Manager for all planning, prioritization, and performance outcomes related to maintenance.
Current Immediate Needs
Keep inventory in tool crib
Hand out bits and blades in tool crib
Maintain and repair pain spray, spray foam machine, carriers, bathrooms, floors and floor cleaner, air compressor, hornet saw, all air tools, table saws, miter saws, air hoses, building issues, cranes, gas heaters, A/C units, fire pump house, sprinkler system, fire extinguishers
Key Responsibilities
Execute daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, tools, fire equipment and facility systems
Supervise and support maintenance technicians; assist with training and performance oversight
Maintain compliance with OSHA safety standards and internal protocols
Coordinate vendor services and manage minor capital improvements
Track parts inventory and ensure availability of critical supplies, work closely with Operations to develop a GPS tracking system to distribute tools in coordination with Supervisors & Team Leads on the production floor
Collaborate closely with Production and Safety teams to reduce downtime and optimize performance
Success Metrics
Preventative maintenance completion rate of 100%
Reduction in unplanned equipment downtime
Zero major safety incidents related to maintenance
Timely and cost-effective response to repair needs
Effective coordination with production for shift continuity
Ideal Profile
5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings in the Southeast
1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
Skilled in troubleshooting equipment across multiple systems (electrical, HVAC, mechanical)
Familiar with maintenance planning tools or CMMS platforms
Able to read schematics and mechanical drawings
Strong communication and organizational skills
Preference will be given to candidates residing in Tennessee or Alabama.
