A Day in the Life

Ready for an exciting challenge? As the Inventory Manager, you'll keep our operations running smoothly! You'll collaborate with various departments, develop project plans, and innovate with new tech tools. Lead and train your team, ensuring their safety and productivity. What You’ll Do

  • Monitor daily returns for potential asset or accessory issues based on experience and product knowledge. 
  • Ensure products and processes are designed and operated lean and efficiently while maintaining high volume and high quality.
  • Design, implement, and monitor asset tracking, quarterly physical inventory, reporting and procedures while ensuring seamless tracking of asset movement and adherence to internally prescribed general accounting and externally- observed auditing rules.
  • Utilize a combination of system tools to analyze real-time and historical data regarding inventory, customers or orders and correct or report anomalies to peers, upper management, internal and external auditors.
  • Work closely with other departments to monitor their production, analyze their existing processes and procedures. Help them design applications, or suggest other efficiency and accuracy enhancements to improve their processes.
  • Oversees and supervises all receiving and inventory activities; follow up to ensure assignments are completed appropriately.
  • Ensures code and quality compliance of completed work in accordance with appropriate UBC, IBC, NEC, CBC, CPC, CEC, ADA and Fire, Life Safety
  • Ensures his/her area of responsibility operates within established standards, regulations and codes related to the operation of the manufacturing facility (including Department of Education, Division of State Architect, Department of Housing and Community Development, and Federal, State, County and Local requirements).
  • Able to review detailed drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Able to develop pricing recommendations based on findings and prepare custom proposals when project conditions merit.
  • Able to select optimal equipment and to determine best use of production teams and subcontractors to control costs and meet deadlines
  • Lead the LEAN initiatives to support creating efficiencies in the work environment.
  • Work collaboratively to assess and refine existing processes serving internal customers to maximize our ability to deliver value to our clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

 

Must Haves

  • 3+ years prior management experience
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction methods
  • Construction industry related project estimation skills
  • Vast inventory control experience in a high velocity environment.
  • Knowledge of how to read and interpret blueprints
  • Track record of improving safety and safety procedures
  • Excellent abilities to prioritize and adjust schedules and instill a sense of urgency in team members while managing multiple projects
  • Excel at being a hands on team leader
  • Results driven, can-do attitude with high level of integrity
  • Familiarity with operations and inventory management processes
  • Proven customer service skills and abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical mindset
  • Excellent business verbal/written communication skills
  • Experience at an advanced level with various computer applications and environments including advanced MS Office tools, Windows, and Oracle 
  • Experience with general accounting and management practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and counsel other workers in a positive manner.
  • Expertise in LEAN production systems including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizens and the proper use of the A3 tool.
  • Valid Driver's License
